Yes, you can do this any time you like. There are three ways of doing this:
From Marygold App
To remove the link consent simply follow these steps:
- Press the 'Accounts' button on the bottom menu bar
- Select 'External Accounts' (at top)
- Select the account you want to de-link
- Select 'Details'
- Scroll to the bottom and press 'Revoke and Remove From List'
That's it! This account will no longer be linked.
From Your External Bank App
Each bank app works slightly differently. It should be easy to find the active open banking connections from within your app but if it is not simply do an internet search (i.e. google) for "remove open banking consent" plus the name of your bank.
Every bank allows you to revoke your consents. Note, Marygold is likely to appear under 'Moneyhub' in the list of active consents.
Sit Back and Wait
Open Banking regulations stipulate that all customer consents must be 'active'. This means it is a regulatory requirement for every open banking provider to ask every 90-days if the customer wishes the open consent to renew.
If the customer does not renew their consent (i.e. they simply ignore the request and do nothing), then the consent will lapse.
So, if you are prepared to wait, the easiest way to remove your consent is simply to do nothing and wait. In 90 days or less, the consent will be revoked anyway.
