First of all don't panic, there is no scam and your funds are not at risk.
Sadly there are victims of bank transfer fraud who are persuaded to transfer funds to scammers often involving sophisticated social engineering. New regulations from October 2024 aim to place greater liability for this fraud back onto the banks and in response the banks have inserted extra friction into their processes to try and protect themselves and their customers (i.e. you).
However, in a lot of cases the banks have used a blunt instrument of just warning you of every balance transfer.
If this screen continues to appear with your bank, you may wish to contact them to see if they can remove this warning for transfers to your Marygold account as all you are doing is moving money between your own accounts! We are working with Moneyhub, and the broader open banking community, to enhance certain disclosures for these type of payments to make the user experience better (specifically transfers between two accounts owned by the same person), but this is not a quick process.
